Luigis Pizza
We've eaten at Luigi's twice this trip. We love their thin crust pizza. I must comment about something I observed while eating there this evening. It was pouring rain and a lady came in to pick up her take out order. The gentleman working there offered to carry out her pizzas. She had an umbrella, but he got soaked anyway. I think that was so kind of him to make the effort to help her out. In my opinion that's great customer service!

Critter they do have a "veggie deluxe" pizza. While we were there tonight they were getting a lot of phone in orders and I heard them tell the callers that delivery time would be an hour and I think I even heard a little longer time for a call or two. Guess because of the rain everyone was calling in for pizza. It would be worth the wait. It was a good thing we got there when we did, no waiting at all. In fact our pizza was ready before our salads were finished so they offered to keep it on the warmer until we were ready. We really appreciated that also.

I had "The Perfect Pizza" (sausage, pepperoni, roasted garlic and marinated roma tomatoes) and it was really delicious, but I'm more of a simple pizza girl. Next time I'll get sausage and tomato. The garlic cheese bread was so yummy!
Oh and you can see their menu and order online too if you'd like: Luigi's Pizza Kitchen

What do artichoke hearts taste like? I noticed it is on the veggie pizza.

I wouldn't want a pizza loaded with them, but a few are good. Next time you're at the store, pick-up a can or jar of artichoke hearts, and just taste them. I like them on salads, too.

It doesn't have a flavor like broccoli or anything to that nature. Just vinegary and buttery tasting?

I like artichokes in salads too. Back in the dark ages when I was working before the 2nd child came along, there was a gourmet pizza shop that I'd have lunch at and they put artichoke hearts in their salads. Yummm....
I've never had Luigi's pizza, however, I do get the point that it's very good pizza. However, the prices seem high compared to Pizza Hut. Around here, Pizza Hut is as expensive as it gets. Are there other coupons not listed on the website? I was also surprised that they don't have a salad bar. Most dine in pizza places do. |
